According to court documents obtained by E! News, Taylor filed a motion on March 18 asking a Georgia court to hold Shumpert in contempt. She accused him of leaking details about their divorce settlement, despite the case being sealed when it was finalized in July 2024. In her filing, Taylor insisted that no such settlement even existed. “The parties never entered into any ‘Settlement’ at all,” the petition stated, clarifying that all assets were awarded by the court, not through any agreement between the former couple.

Taylor believes the timing of the leaked details was no coincidence. She alleged that Shumpert, 34, leaked the information just days after she was spotted at the 2025 Vanity Fair Oscars after-party with Mufasa: The Lion King star Aaron Pierre. “On March 3, 2025, Oscar night, [Taylor] posted black and white photos of herself and another actor,” her petition read. “Not surprisingly, just days later, a huge story about a false ‘Divorce Settlement’ between the parties pops up, just in time to help promote [Shumpert]’s newly-released new rap song.”
Taylor, 34, also shut down rumors about how their assets were divided. She clarified that she was awarded four out of their seven properties, including two she purchased herself, while Shumpert kept a Miami condo he had originally gifted her. She emphasized that both of them had contributed to the remaining four properties, which the court divided accordingly.

Her frustration with the ongoing drama was evident in a social media post, where she playfully asked, “Can I get my back blown out in peace?” seemingly referring to the backlash over her rumored new relationship.
Taylor originally filed for divorce in January 2023 after more than six years of marriage, officially announcing their split in September. At the time, she reassured fans that their breakup was not due to infidelity, calling Shumpert her “best friend” and emphasizing their commitment to co-parenting their daughters, Junie and Rue. However, with this latest development, it’s clear that tensions between the former couple are still high.
