Kim Kardashian’s return to television in All’s Fair is not winning over critics. The second season of the legal drama has arrived with another wave of negative reviews, with some writers questioning whether the series has improved at all since its debut.
Created by Ryan Murphy, the Hulu series features a high-profile cast that includes Kardashian, Naomi Watts, Niecy Nash, Sarah Paulson, Teyana Taylor and Glenn Close. Despite its star power, the show struggled to impress reviewers when it premiered in November 2025. Now, its latest episodes are facing many of the same complaints.
The reaction has not stopped Kardashian from defending the show’s success. The reality star previously admitted that the harsh reviews made her worry about what the series could mean for her career. However, she also pointed out that the criticism helped attract an audience.
“I just thought it was so funny that people came in and wanted to hate on it so much that the hate turned into viewers wanting to see how bad it was,” Kardashian said. She explained that people tuned in out of curiosity, helping the show remain one of the most-watched programs for weeks.

The second season premiered November 4 on Hulu and Disney+, but early reviews suggest the critics are not ready to change their minds.
In a one-star review for The Telegraph, critic Ed Power took aim at the series and expressed sympathy for Watts and Close. He compared Watts’ work in the show to her performance in David Lynch’s acclaimed film Mulholland Drive, suggesting the actress deserved a better project.
Power described All’s Fair as a possible contender for the worst television series of the 21st century. His review questioned why two accomplished actresses were involved in a production he felt did not match their abilities.
The Guardian also gave the new season one star, although critic Lucy Mangan noticed something different this time around. While she still found plenty to criticize, she admitted that the show was becoming more entertaining. Mangan suggested the series was moving toward the kind of television that is so bad it becomes enjoyable.

Meanwhile, Ready Steady Cut gave the season two stars. Critic Jonathon Wilson said he struggled to understand whether the show wanted to be a serious legal drama or a self-aware comedy.

Wilson noted that a campy satire starring Kardashian could work, but the series often seems caught between two different approaches.
For now, All’s Fair appears to have found an audience willing to watch, even if critics remain unconvinced. Whether season two can turn its bad reviews into another ratings win remains to be seen.
