Mayweather spoke at Trump’s Oct. 14 rally in Bullhead City, Arizona, where he addressed the crowd and reflected on his experience representing the country on the international stage. The former professional boxer also praised Trump, telling attendees he believed the country had made the right choice by electing him president twice.
“First, I want to say thank you to everyone that showed up. America is the best country in the world. If I died and came back a million times, I will always choose America,” Mayweather said.
He then looked back on his amateur boxing career, highlighting the opportunity to compete for the United States at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta.
“It was great to represent this country in the 1996 Olympic Games, to go out there and represent the red, white, and blue,” he added.
